ST. LOUIS - The Hickman football team defeated the Vashon Wolverines 27-13 Friday night in St. Louis to improve to 4-2.

Senior running back Rob Heath recharged the Hickman offense after a 37-0 loss the previous week against Rockhurst. Heath rushed for 226 yards on 21 carries and two touchdowns.

“Rob is a warrior,” Hickman coach Jason Wright said. “Right now he is leading our team in team value points on the defensive end and he’s leading us in rushing. He’s playing at a high level on both sides of the ball.”

Senior Tucker Bounds stopped a key Vashon drive in the first quarter, intercepting a pass on the Kewpies’ 5-yard line. The tempo circled to Hickman’s favor, leading to a touchdown six plays later and a lead that never disappeared.
