The Columbia College volleyball team kept its perfect American Midwest Conference record intact, sweeping Missouri Baptist on Thursday in St. Louis, 30-21, 30-23, 30-25.

Senior outside hitter Daniela Brazolino and freshman outside hitter Francille Archanjo paced the Cougars (15-6, 9-0) with eight kills each off junior Luana Bronco’s 36 assists.

Hitters Juliana Quadrado and Yi Zhang-Li also contributed seven kills each to the Cougars’ balanced attack against the Spartans (15-9, 6-2), who entered having won 13 of their past 14 matches. Both of Missouri Baptist’s conference losses have come against Columbia.

The Cougars will next host Hannibal-LaGrange at 7 p.m. on Monday. Hannibal-LaGrange is the only conference opponent Columbia has not yet faced this year.
