Drug raid leads to arrest

A man was arrested Thursday afternoon after a police search of his home turned up a small amount of crack-cocaine, Columbia police said.

Marvin Porter, 23, of Columbia was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance and an outstanding felony warrant, according to a Columbia police news release. Columbia police entered the residence, 1105 Jefferson St., while serving a drug-related warrant.

Porter has pending charges for armed criminal action, second-degree assault and shooting a firearm at a vehicle or person, all felony charges, according to online court documents.
