Man shot by BB gun

BOONE COUNTY — Larry Creason, 45, was shot by a BB gun Sunday near his home after he yelled at a speeding car to slow down. Creason was walking with two boys from his neighborhood who were riding their bikes along the side of the road.

According to a Boone County Sheriff’s news release, Creason was shot by a pellet fired from a dark-colored car containing an unknown number of people.

The incident in the 100 east block of Hackberry Blvd. was not reported until 8:15 p.m., several hours after the incident occurred, the release said.

Creason was taken to the hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries,
