On Monday and Tuesday, the high school girls golf state championship was held at Silo Ridge Golf and Country Club in Bolivar, Missouri.

Senior Ashlee Daly was the sole representative from Hickman High School and finished in a tie for 27th with a two-day score of 172.

Rock Bridge freshman Meghan Mueller finished in a tie for 32nd with a 173 and sophomore Jackie Davis came in a tie for 69th with a 190.

Rock Bridge coach Melissa Melahn was impressed that they were able to send such young golfers to the tournament.

“To take two girls and have them be able to have this experience and still have two or three years left is great for the team,” said Melahn. “They will be able to share their experience with the other girls.”

With the entire varsity squad returning, Melahn is hoping to send a few more girls to state tournament next year.
