COLUMBIA — Two people were arrested Tuesday afternoon after police searched a west Columbia home for narcotics.

Darian Halliday, 29, and Robyn Stewart, 44, both of 2008 Arlene Drive, were arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, according to a Columbia Police Department release.

Police served a search warrant at that address at 5:52 p.m. and found scales, baggies and approximately one gram of cocaine, the release said.

Halliday tried to run out the back door of the home when officers arrived but was quickly apprehended, the release said.
