PrintCOLUMBIA — The Boone County Sheriff’s Department is looking for the person who stole two safes from a vacuum cleaner store sometime late Monday or early Tuesday morning.
According to a release from the department, someone broke into Clean Air Unlimited, 6801 W. Highway 40, between 11 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. Tuesday and took two safes containing an undisclosed amount of money, assorted jewelry and other items. A firearm was also stolen during the burglary, the release said.
The owner of the business declined to comment about the burglary.
