Like most of what we do at the Missourian, there were two purposes for capturing 36 hours in Columbia: to teach students how to plan and execute a big project and to give our readers something they’d never seen before.
It took five weeks of planning, 29 photographers, 12 picture editors, 62 photo assignments, seven pizzas, six bags of candy and countless runs for coffee. We ended up with 11,374 pictures that capture families, college presidents, gravediggers, people delivering pizza and teenagers attending the big game.
