Blunt’s new task force is a travesty

Regarding Gov. Blunt’s new task force to study the emotional effects of abortion — this is absolutely outrageous! How dare the governor use his time — and perhaps taxpayer money — on a “scientific” study based on the findings of a completely one-sided panel. What makes Blunt believe his panel of anti-abortion foes can prove something even C. Everett Koop declared inconclusive? This is a travesty. I am disgusted that Gov. Blunt feels his efforts are better spent pandering to his voter base by creating a task force from which he doesn’t expect any “significant recommendations” than solving the other, more important problems of this state. Any premise can be proven, given the proper methods. As far as abortion “causing” women to break the law — give me a break! This is the kind of twisted “scientific” research we can expect of this waste of time and money.
