COLUMBIA — Police arrested Jason Guevera of 1707 Nelwood Drive in connection with the stabbing of a 22-year-old Columbia man during a party Sunday night in north Columbia.

The victim remains hospitalized with nonlife-threatening injuries.

The suspect left the party, then returned with a knife and stabbed the victim, police said.

Guevera is charged with first-degree assault and armed criminal action.

Guevera has two outstanding warrants outside Missouri. Both are from San Antonio, Texas. One is for a misdemeanor charge of driving while intoxicated, and the other is for endangering the welfare of a child, Nelson said.
