COLUMBIA — Missouri women's soccer coach Bryan Blitz was named Big 12 Conference Coach of the Year and eight MU players received Big 12 postseason honors.

Freshman forward Alysha Bonnick earned the league’s Rookie of the Year award and sophomore Kristin Andrighetto was selected to the All-Big 12 first team.

Kat Tarr, Mo Redmond, Meghan Pfieffer and Michelle Collins were selected to the all-conference second team. Sophomore transfer goalkeeper Tasha Dittamore, freshman Katya Hessel, and Bonnick were named to the Big 12 All-Newcomer team.

After finishing 10th in the conference last year and being picked to finish eighth this season, Missouri finished in a tie for third.

After this year’s 12-6 regular-season record, Blitz is 124-112-9 in his 12 years at Missouri. He is the only coach the program has ever had.

“I feel like our players have worked hard, and feel like we have more to accomplish, but we are humbled by the vote of confidence from the conference.” Blitz said in a release.
