COLUMBIA — Six Missouri wrestlers earned titles in their weight divisions in the eighth annual Missouri Open on Sunday at Hearnes Center.
Junior Raymond Jordan won his third consecutive Missouri Open title at 184 pounds and sophomore Max Askren won his second straight at 197 pounds.
Michael Chandler (157 pounds), Nick Marable (165 pounds) and Mark Ellis (heavyweight) also won titles. Freshman Patrick Wright also claimed first place at 165 pounds in the freshman/sophomore division. Thirteen other Tigers wrestlers finished in the top six of their weight class.
The Tigers will prepare to defend their title at the 26th annual Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational on Nov. 30.
