Volunteers come together to prepare Thanksgiving feast

The Thanksgiving dinner, hosted by First Ward Councilwoman Almeta Crayton, will be served at noon on Thursday,in the Kimball Ballroom in Lela Raney Wood Hall on the Stephens College campus. Crayton expects to serve about 300 people.

About 70 volunteers crowded into the kitchen of Stamper Commons cafeteria on Stephens College campus Wednesday to assist First Ward Councilwoman Almeta Crayton in preparing food for the Thanksgiving dinner she hosts. The dinner will be served at noon Thursday at Kimball Ballroom in Lela Raney Wood Hall on Stephens College campus. Crayton, who has been hosting the dinner for the past 10 years, said she expects to serve about 300 people. Volunteers consisted of families, community members, boy scout troops and girl scout troops.
