Hall monitors and guards in our schools won’t solve the problem of school violence; they only fight the systems and not the causes. School violence has increased since the Bible and moral teachings were taken from our schools and were replaced with condom machines, birth control devices and the teaching of the gay lifestyle. It is not the fault of our public schools as they are controlled by our government.
With both parents working outside the home in most households, parents have little time for moral training; therefore, moral training needs to be reinforced in our schools. We need a universal school voucher system, which would allow parents to control the education of their children. With one-third of the senior class dropping out before graduation, we should realize the need for change. We spend more money per student than any nation, yet we rate low in education. As the parents are responsible for their children, and it’s their tax money being wasted, they should be able to support a school of their choice.
The teacher unions are opposed to this, as they are more concerned with job security than the welfare of our children. But to have excellence in our schools, we need competition, just as in the other parts of our economy.
We must also bring the cost of living down so both parents won’t have to work outside the home. We need to stop outsourcing jobs to countries that use cheap labor to manufacture products that are then sent back to our country. We need FAIR TRADE, not FREE TRADE. We need to take the chemicals out of our meat products, then we would have more markets for our meat products overseas.
