November 29, 2007 | 11:24 p.m. CST

COLUMBIA — The No. 6 Columbia College volleyball team fell 30-22, 29-31, 30-22, 19-30 and 15-12 to No. 4 Biola on Thursday night in the NAIA tournament at Southwell Comnplex.

Biola coach Aaron Seltzer said he was relieved to come out with the victory in an intensely competitive match.

“That’s a great match,” Seltzer said. “It’s a lot of fun. It’s nerve racking but it’s a lot of fun. There’s a lot on the line. Columbia knows that they need that win, and we need that win. That’s your No. 6 and No. 4 teams going at it, it should be fun.

The Cougars (1-2) will play at 9:45 a.m. Friday morning in a one game play-in against the winner of the 9:30 a.m. game between Campbellsville and Mobile. If the Cougars win they will advance to the quarterfinals of the tournament and play again at 10:30 a.m.
