Stars net second straight win

COLUMBIA — The Stephens College basketball team improved to 3-7 after a 61-59 win over Principia College on Monday night.

Junior forward Ali Roper sunk a 3-point shot to give the Stars a one-point lead with 9.3 seconds left. Roper led the Stars in scoring with 18 points. Junior guard Bug Dominguez added nine points, six assists, five steals and four rebounds off the bench.

The Stars have won two games in a row and will host the William Woods Owls on Saturday.
