COLUMBIA — Flights out of Columbia Regional Airport to Kansas City resumed Wednesday after all four round trips were canceled on Tuesday because of icy runway conditions at Kansas City International Airport. Wednesday morning’s 10 a.m. flight was delayed, but the rest of the flights are expected to be on time, said R.A. Howard with airport safety. US Airways Express is the sole carrier at Columbia Regional and provides service to Kansas City.

Around noon, conditions in Columbia were cloudy and the temperature was 31 degrees, said Doug Tilly, a meteorologist for the National Weather Service Forecast Office in St. Louis. He said there is a 30 percent chance of snow for Columbia this evening. Tilly said he expects a light dusting of snow with temperatures in the mid-20s.
