Snow accumulation likely

COLUMBIA — According to the National Weather Service, Columbia has a 90 percent chance of snowfall late Friday, with most of the snow likely to fall early Saturday. Temperatures will drop to the low 20s Friday evening.

On Saturday, there is an 80 percent chance of precipitation, with a possible snow accumulation of one to two inches. Temperatures will drop to the teens in the evening, and snowfall is expected to begin after noon.

Travelers along I-70 should take caution as snow could accumulate on roadways, with occasional snow continuing through Saturday and an accumulation of up to four inches by Saturday evening in some areas.
