COLUMBIA — Columbia Police have identified a second suspect in a drug-related shooting that took place Dec. 10.

A felony warrant has been issued for Garrett Murray in connection with the shooting at the 2100 block of Carol Drive, a Police Department news release said. Police think Garrett was taking part in a drug deal when he tried to rob the other party at gunpoint and shots were exchanged.

Another suspect in the shooting, Kirk Jones, was arrested Dec. 12 on suspicion of second-degree assault and armed criminal action. Police have not found Garrett and consider him to be armed and dangerous, the release said. There are no other suspects in the shooting.

Police ask anyone with information on Murray’s whereabouts to call CrimeStoppers at 875-8477.
