COLUMBIA — Columbia’s Citizen Oversight task force will meet for the second time at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Mezzanine Conference Room of the Daniel Boone City Building, 701 E. Broadway.

Police Chief Randy Boehm and attorney Dan Viets are scheduled to speak.

The task force, which is charged with determining whether the Columbia Police Department needs citizen oversight, will review the concerns of residents and police.

In November, the City Council approved the creation of the 15-member task force to investigate whether a civilian board is needed to oversee the Police Department and its internal procedures.
