PrintCOLUMBIA — Almeta Crayton, First Ward councilwoman, was hospitalized in Boone Hospital Center two days ago for kidney problems.
"I'm doing OK," Crayton said. "I'm a trouper."
Crayton is waiting on her test results, which will be ready later Wednesday. In the meantime, she is regularly checking in with her son, she said.
She hopes to be out of the hospital in time for Christmas. "The community is praying for me," she added.
