Whether it’s for friends and family, or a large party, puppy chow is a favorite treat to make this holiday season.

I decided to make puppy chow for a football game weekend, and the delicious snack went over well with everyone.

Here is the kid-friendly version I used:

Ingredients

8-9 cups Rice Chex

¼ cup (½ stick) butter

½ cup creamy peanut butter

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1½ cups confectioners’ sugar

Put chocolate chips, butter and peanut butter in a large microwaveable bowl. Microwave for 1 minute. Stir. Microwave again for 30 seconds. Stir.

Add Rice Chex. Stir until all cereal is covered in the chocolate/peanut butter mix.

Pour half of the confectioners sugar in a large plastic bag. Add chocolate cereal mix. Add the rest of the confectioners’ sugar. Shake, shake, shake!

Enjoy!
