COLUMBIA — The Columbia Values Diversity Celebration, which is slated for Thursday, is sold out, said Steve Hollis, manager of Columbia’s Office of Community Services.

Hollis said the last remaining tickets of the 1,120 available were sold out Friday morning, which was the deadline for people to register for the event. He said organizers were “both pleased and sorry” the event sold out.

The 15th annual celebration will take place Thursday morning from 7 to 8:45 a.m. in the Holiday Inn Select Expo Center. This year’s theme is “The Garden of Humanity: Cultivating a Community of Diversity.” The event will also include the presentation of the Columbia Values Diversity Awards and a show of original artistic work.

Breakfast will be served during the first half hour and will feature music by Universal Drum Appeal.
