It was the first day of classes at Stephens College and many of the students bought their books today. Mark Lovelace, manager of the Bookshelf, the college's bookstore said, "It's exciting to see them come back after they've been away for a while." Like every year, students complain about the high costs of books, Lovelace added.
Sydney Falkner, 20, is reading up for her developmental psychology class in Hugh Stephens Library Wednesday. Falkner, a senior psychology major, said she was glad to be back. "I'm already doing good because I've got stuff done," she said while she began working on her homework for this Friday.
