PrintCOLUMBIA — An attempted armed robbery took place Wednesday in the 300 block of Sanford Avenue while a 15-year-old was baby-sitting two children, according to a news release from the Columbia Police Department.
At 9:40 p.m., the suspect knocked on the door and identified himself as someone common to the residence. The baby sitter opened the door after hearing the familiar name, and then the suspect forcibly entered the house, according to the news release.
The suspect brandished a handgun and demanded money from the victim, according to the release. When the victim said he had no money, the suspect left the residence on foot. He was last seen traveling south on Sanford Avenue.
The suspect is described as a 17-year-old black male, six feet tall and weighing between 160 and 170 pounds, with black hair styled in short, twisted braids. He was last seen wearing a white hooded jacket, blue jeans, black gloves and a bandanna across his nose and mouth, according to the news release.

Thank you so much for sharing that story of black crime. We all need to keep a heads up on that sort of thing. The world is becoming a dangerous place and we need to lock up and be safe because them savages are out there robbing and killing.
