COLUMBIA — The Center on Religion and the Professions resumes its “Religion and Politics” film series at 7 p.m. Wednesday at MU’s Fisher Auditorium, 87 Gannett Hall.

The 16-film series explores controversial and complex issues, such as abortion and clashes between different cultural and religious groups. In addition, the movies present the role faith and spirituality can play in politics.

The series kicks off the winter semester with “My Mother India,” a documentary that follows the story of a multicultural family in India during the anti-Sikh riots of 1984.

Admission is free and the series runs through April 30.
