National Weather Service predicts 3-5 inches of snow
Snow advisory in effect until 6 a.m. Friday

COLUMBIA — The area can expect snow accumulations of 3 to 5 inches from the winter storm taking aim at the region.
The National Weather Service has placed Boone County under a snow advisory from noon Thursday to 6 a.m. Friday.
The Weather Service was forecasting the heaviest snowfall totals along and south of the Interstate 44 corridor. Up to 10 inches of snow was possible in parts of southeast Missouri with 7 inches in the St. Louis area.
