When Noah Gordon asked Ann Schlosser to marry him, the first person the future bride told was a stranger sitting in the hotel where they were vacationing.
“I was so excited," Schlosser recalls. "I didn't want to call my mom from Costa Rica to tell her the news over the phone."
Although Schlosser's mom had to wait a couple days to hear about the engagement, the couple — who got married on Oct. 7 at Les Bourgeois Winery and Vineyards in Rocheport — say they wanted an individualized wedding that was all about friends and family. So when it came to finding someone to officiate, they chose a friend who happened to have been ordained as a minister online.
