District basketball tournaments set

The schedule is set for the Class 5 District 10 boys and girls basketball tournaments next week .

The girls tournament starts Monday (Feb. 18) at Hickman. However, neither Hickman or Rock Bridge will play until Feb. 20. Both earned byes with the Kewpies seeded No. 1 and the Bruins No. 2. The Kewpies play at 6 p.m. Wednesday with the Bruins following at 7:30 p.m. The championship game is 7 p.m. Friday.

The boys tournament will start Tuesday at Rock Bridge. No. 4 seeded Hickman plays No. 5 Smith-Cotton at 7:30 p.m.

No. 1 Rock Bridge plays the winner of the Hickman game at 6 p.m. Thursday after receiving a bye by going undefeated against district teams before the seeding meeting.

The championship game is at 7 p.m. Saturday.
