COLUMBIA — A potent storm was expected to bring excessive rainfall Saturday night and Sunday morning to a large part of Missouri.
Flood watches were posted on Friday afternoon for Boone County along with much of the state except for the extreme northwest and southeast. The National Weather Service said 1 to 2 inches of rain was possible across much of mid-Missouri.
The storm threatens to drop 3 to 6 inches of snow in parts of northwest Missouri, where a winter storm watch was issued Friday afternoon.
