COLUMBIA — A Columbia man pleaded guilty to possessing child pornography and first-degree promoting child pornography Wednesday in the 13th Judicial Circuit Court, his attorney said.
Richard Alexander Tillerson, 28, is scheduled for an April 7 sentencing hearing, said his attorney, Gregory Paul Robinson.
Tillerson was arrested in June 2007 after an investigation by the Mid-Missouri Internet Crimes Task Force linked his computer to child pornography available through a file-sharing network, task force Detective Andy Anderson said.
Task force investigators traced the transmission to Tillerson and seized computers and other media, Anderson said. An examination of the material revealed 38 videos depicting children being sexually molested, he said.
