Columbia man assaulted with bottle

COLUMBIA — A 22-year-old Columbia man suffered head lacerations after being hit with a bottle this morning, according to a press release from the Columbia Police Department.

Police responded at 1:51 a.m. to the report of an assault at 1104 E. Broadway, where 17-year-old suspect Michael Glasgow of Moberly was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault, possession of a false ID and minor in possession.

The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment and was later released, according to the press release.
