COLUMBIA — A pizza delivery man was robbed at gunpoint in north Columbia by two armed men Tuesday night.

The driver, 28, was struck in the head with a gun before the two men stole his money and cell phone, according to a news release from the Columbia Police Department.

Sgt. Ken Hammond said the amount of money stolen is still unknown.

Several officers, including K-9 Officer Todd Alber and his dog, responded to the robbery at 11:26 p.m. at 1612 Kitty Hawk Drive.

Two men were arrested in connection with the crime. Adrian R. Jackson, 17, and R’landis G. Gordon, 18, were tracked to Jackson’s trailer at 1501 Vandiver Drive, lot no. 268, by the K-9 officer, police said. On the way to the trailer, police found a glove that they think was worn by one of the men involved in the crime, Hammond said.

Jackson and Gordon are still in custody at Boone County Jail, but bail has not been set.

Police ask anyone with information to submit the tip on the Crimestoppers Web site, 875tips.com.
