MU softball team wins 14th straight

The Missouri softball team extended its winning streak to 14 games Wednesday with a doubleheader sweep of host Wichita State.

In the first game, Kathryn Poet hit a two-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to give the Tigers their 11th come-from-behind victory of the season. The Tigers defeated the Shockers 3-2.

Junior Lindsey Ubrun set new career highs in home runs and RBI in the second game, leading the Tigers to a 13-5 win. Ubrun hit three home runs and drove in seven, bringing her season totals to 13 home runs and 37 RBI. The Tigers will host North Dakota State and Wisconsin in the Missouri Classic starting Friday.
