Junior Aaron Crow's pitching propelled the Missouri baseball team to a 1-0 victory over Texas Tech on Friday in the first of a three-game series in Lubbock, Texas.
Crow struck out nine and allowed two hits in eight scoreless innings on the mound to improve to 6-0. Crow retired the first seven batters he faced before walking a batter in the bottom of the third inning. He extended his scoreless innings streak to 33 2/3. He has not allowed a run since Feb. 29 against Cal.
The Tigers' lone run came in the first inning. After Greg Folgia and Kurt Calvert hit back-to-back singles to open the game, senior Jacob Priday drove in his 27th run of the season on another single. Five other players had hits for Missouri (20-3, 4-0 in the Big 12 Conference).
Freshman Nick Tepesch pitched a scoreless ninth to earn his team-leading fourth save of the season.
The Red Raiders fell to 12-12 and 2-5 in the Big 12.
