COLUMBIA — A Columbia man was arrested Monday night after firing a rifle while intoxicated, according to a media release from the Boone County Sheriff’s Department.
Jeremy K. Tremblay, 25, was arrested on charges of unlawful use of a weapon.
According to the release, sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the Oakbrook Drive area around 11:17 p.m. after receiving two reports of shots fired. When they arrived, deputies found a group of people outside an apartment at the 2500 block of Oakbrook Drive and determined that one man in the group, Tremblay, was responsible for the gunfire.
Tremblay has been arrested in Boone County before. Past charges include a DWI in 2007, excessive Blood Alcohol Level in 2006 and possession of marijuana in 2001, according to Missouri Case.net.
Tremblay was released from the Boone County Jail at 2:53 a.m. Tuesday after posting the $4,500 bond.
