Friday, April 4, 2008 | 2:32 p.m. CDT

The many accomplishments of Paul Sturtz, candidate for First Ward City Council seat, are well-known in Columbia. These include his work as founder and program director, Ragtag Cinemacafe; founder and director, True/False Film Festival; founding member and board member, Columbia Locally Owned Retail and Services, locally-owned business network; founding member, Big Canoe, inner-city farm group; co-founder, friends of Stephens Lake that led to creating a city park; board member, KOPN; administrator, Missouri Rural Crisis Center family farm organization.

Paul’s solid experience and record of achievement make him the most highly qualified candidate to represent the First Ward in the heart of the city where I live. His commitment to re-establish the First Ward as the cultural and business center of Columbia, an aim that will benefit not only all the residents of this ward but also the entire city, make Paul Sturz the ideal candidate to represent his ward and to work on behalf of our city as a whole.
