Jackson shines for Hickman track team

Hickman's Victoria Jackson placed in four events Saturday at the Springfield Invitational. Jackson won the long jump at 16 feet, 10 1/2 inches, placed second in the 200-meter run in 26.8 seconds and was third in the 100-meter dash. Jackson also ran in the Kewpie's fourth-place 1600-meter relay, which included Whitney Grathwohl, Nasia Stevenson and Taylor Stevenson.

The Kewpies' Jemelay Kimbrough placed third in the girls long jump. The boys 3200-meter relay team of Jordan Fleming, David German, Joey Walls and Sam Masters won in 8:08. Walls also finished fourth in the 1600-meter run in 4:27 seconds and Masters finished second in the 3,200 meter run in 9:31.

The boys 1600-meter relay team finished fourth. Terrel Shannon, Jimmie Garth, Marcus Whitt and Tucker Bounds finished in 3:37. Bounds was second in the shot at 52-7 1/2 after losing a tiebreaker.
