Man injured in crash on Paris Road

COLUMBIA — A crash on Paris Road left one man injured Monday night when his motor scooter struck a vehicle near Hathman Place.

Duane Hombs, 68, was traveling on his scooter westbound on Hathman Place and turned right onto Paris Road, according to a report from the Columbia Police Department. Hombs struck the side of a vehicle traveling northbound on Paris Road.

He suffered head injuries and was transported to Boone Hospital Center. Hombs, who was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash was listed in fair condition on Tuesday.

The driver of the other vehicle, Ronnie Rose, 35, was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.
