Two armed men rob residence Tuesday night, according to police

COLUMBIA — Two men, armed with handguns, robbed a northeast Columbia home Tuesday night, according to a news release from the Columbia Police Department.

The men were waiting outside the residence, in the 1200 block of Haven Road, east of Range Line Street, shortly after 9 p.m. When a woman, 28, and two girls, ages 11 and 7, arrived at the residence, the men forced entry and demanded money, according to the release.

The men left with an undisclosed amount of money and other valuables, according to the release.

The first suspect is described as a black male, about 5 feet 11 inches tall and 230 pounds. He was wearing all black clothing, including black jeans with a zig-zag design on the right leg, and an orange hunting mask, according to the release.

The second suspect is described as a black male, about 6 feet 1 inch tall, with a thin build. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, long white T-shirt and jeans, according to the release.

Police ask anyone with information to submit a tip to the CrimeStoppers Web site, 875tips.com.
