Police find 52 grams of marijuana in Columbia apartment

COLUMBIA — A Columbia man was arrested Wednesday night after police found 52 grams of marijuana, marijuana seeds, scales and drug paraphernalia inside an apartment on Ashland Road, Columbia police said.

Adam Michael White, 19, was arrested on suspicion of possession with the intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a Columbia Police Department news release.

Police received information about possible narcotics at an apartment at 1405 Ashland Road. While talking to the resident around 9:30 p.m., police spotted drugs and paraphernalia, according to the release.

The release also stated that during a search of the residence, police also found $512 in cash.

Two other adults at the residence were cited and issued summons for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, according to the release.

White was being held at Boone County Jail on Thursday morning on $10,000 bond.
