Two injured in early morning accident

A two-car collision on Stadium Boulevard early Saturday sent two people to the hospital for injuries.

According to a Columbia Police Department release, Carl Neal, 50, of Columbia, was traveling eastbound on Stadium Boulevard near Ashland Gravel Road at 1:31 a.m. when he crossed the center line and collided with a vehicle driven by Kelli Sullivan, 18, of Florissant.

Neal was taken to the hospital for moderate injuries. Sullivan was taken to the hospital for minor injuries and was released.

Neal was issued a summons for failing to drive on the right side of the road.
