MU baseball team edges Oklahoma in 10 innings

NORMAN, Okla. — Steve Gray hit an RBI single in the 10th inning to lift Missouri over Oklahoma 6-5 in a Big 12 game on Saturday.

The Sooners (24-15-1, 3-10-1 Big 12) tied the game at 5-5 in the seventh on Matt Harughty's two-run triple, but both teams were unable to score in the final two frames of regulation.

Gray's single gave the Tigers (28-9, 9-5) the lead and Nick Tepesch secured the win by allowing no hits in the extra inning.

Missouri got on the scoreboard first, getting two runs in the top of the second inning on RBIs by Kyle Mach and Kurt Calvert, who had two RBIs on the day.

The Sooners answered in the bottom half of the frame with RBIs by J.T. Wise and Tyson Seng. The teams then traded leads until the seventh inning.

Gray went 3-for-5 with two RBIs for Missouri, and Greg Folgia finished 2-for-5 with a home run.

Harughty paced Oklahoma with three RBIs and Wise went 2-for-5.

Tepesch (1-1) struck out three over 1 2-3 innings to get the win for Missouri.

Chase Anderson (3-3) took the loss, allowing three hits and one run and struck out three in three innings for Oklahoma.
