Tuesday, April 22, 2008 | 3:14 p.m. CDT

COLUMBIA — Traffic, bicycle and pedestrian improvements to Providence Road, between Stewart Road and Stadium Boulevard, will be discussed at an informational meeting 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday in the Friends Room of the Daniel Boone Regional Library, 100 W. Broadway.

The area where Providence intersects Rollins and Burnam roads, west of MU, is on the city’s list of high-accident areas. The Columbia Public Works Department is holding the meeting to gather input from the public about safety and traffic concerns in the area and to work on solving these issues.

Some conceptual ideas from consultants will be presented.

For more information, contact the Public Works Department at 874-7250.
