COLUMBIA — After several months of not being able to search the archives online, the Columbia Missourian has reintroduced its search engine to the Web site.
The search engine was down several months ago due to coding issues that caused searches to not come back properly. Today the technical team at the Missourian, who primarily work on fixing the technical issues for the Web site, was happy to announce that the search engine is up and running again. The search engine now allows users to search articles that have been posted on the Web site in the past few years.
Reuben Stern, managing editor of the Columbia Missourian, said the new search engine is an example of the Web site becoming more user friendly.
“We are doing a lot of work to make the Web site run better, and fixing the search engine was one of those things,” he said.
