Hancock, Nicholls lead MU track and field team at Drake Relays

The Missouri track and field teams competed in the third day at the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa on Friday.

Sophomore Brian Hancock finished fourth in pole vault by clearing 4.90m.

Missouri senior discus thrower Shernelle Nicholls finished sixth with a throw of 48.18m.

The Tigers’ 1,600 meter relay team of Garett Jeffries, Dan Hedgecock, Kyle Rood and Tipper O’Brien finished eighth with a time of 17:04.72.

Senior Trisa Nickoley was 10th in the women’s 800-meter with a time of 2:11.62.

The Drake Relays will finish up on Saturday with the men’s and women’s sprint medley relays, the men’s distance medley relay and several field events.
