Hickman boys track and field team ties for fourth

The Hickman boys track and field team finished tied for fourth with Rock Bridge in the Lee’s Summit Tigers Invitational. Jefferson City won the event.

Individually, Sam Masters won the 1,600 meter event with a time of 4:36. Zach Lynn won the 3,200 meter event with a time of 9:46.

Two Kewpie relay teams won their events. The 4x400-meter relay team of Jimmy Garth, David Garmin, Terrell Shannon and Tucker Bounds won with a time of 3:26. The 4x800-meter relay team of Garmin, Shannon, Masters and Joey Walls won with a time of 8:19.

Jamon Kimbrough placed third in the 800 meter race with a time of 2:05. Josh Harvey placed third in the shot put with a throw of 54’8”.

Cameron McCrary finished fourth in the 110-meter high hurdles with a time of 15.7 seconds. Matt Burmit finished fourth in the high jump with a jump of 5’8”.
