Hickman lacrosse team beats Lindbergh

COLUMBIA — Defensive play helped the Hickman boys lacrosse team beat Lindbergh, 5-3, on Friday evening.

Goaltender Dan Hurst made 10 saves to help earn the win. At one point, out of position and without his stick, the senior dove back into the crease and made a save with his facemask.

Senior defender Matt Schuster picked up seven groundballs in the game.

Senior midfielder Mason Poage led the Kewpies with two goals and one assist. Senior attacker Nick Stohlgren added one goal and two assists, and seniors Thomas Eckles and Logan Parker each scored one goal.

The Kewpies (6-4) will play Vianny at noon Sunday on the field at Cosmo Park.
