MU women's golf team is third place at Big 12 championships

The Missouri women’s golf team is in third place after the first of three rounds in the Big 12 Championship at Karsten Creek Golf Course in Stillwater, Okla.

The Tigers put up a score of 317 (+29). They trail Oklahoma State by 14 strokes and Texas A&M by two strokes. Individually, junior Chelsea Schriewer and sophomore Julia Potter are tied for eighth place after both posting 6-over rounds of 78. They are four strokes off the lead. Redshirt freshman Lindsey Haupt is tied for 13th with a round of 80.

Oklahoma State freshman Jaclyn Sweeney is the leader with a 2-over round of 74. The top three individual rounds were all from Oklahoma State.

Action will continue Saturday and conclude Sunday.
