COLUMBIA — Three people were arrested Friday afternoon after Columbia police broke up a methamphetamine sale in Columbia.

Columbia police arrived at the 5900 block of Wagon Trail Road at 3:30 p.m. and discovered Terry S. Johnston delivering a gram of meth to a person at that address, according to a press release from the Columbia Police Department.

When apprehended, a hypodermic needle was also found on him, police said, and he was arrested on charges of delivery of a controlled substance and use or possession of a drug paraphernalia. The 41-year-old man was taken into custody without incident.

Police then went to a residence on the 1500 block of Vandiver Drive that Johnston had been at before the attempted sale. There, they found and arrested 38-year-old Timothy Klein and 48-year-old Gloria Berhorst.

Klein, who had an original warrant out for trespassing was also found with less than one gram of meth, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, according to the press release.

Berhorst was arrested for an outstanding felony warrant for first degree burglary.
